Digital Economy petition
« on: November 24, 2009, 07:52:35 am »

Yeah, for you Brits out there. Have you heard we're going to have a bill passed (with very minimal coverage) that can deny people the right to access the internet? Anyhoo, I'll post some links and the petition. (Please sign it.)

While the gesture is great, I don't think a petition would do much.
(Not that I am in any way related to this, as I don't like in Britain)

Most of the time when someone is described as politically correct they are simply correct.

Nah, our government are cowards. If the petition gets enough signatures they'll probably say it was all the idea of some minor back-bencher.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

Technically some ISPs in America do this already.  One of my dad's friends pirated the new Wolverine movie, his ISP noticed, and they shut down his internet.  When he called to ask why his internet was down, they redirected him to another number.  He called it up, and it was the party van, who gave him a very stern warning.  I would've wet myself.
