Those are sea nettles. They're a real nuisance when you are trying to fish. There was a bloom recently, and there were thousands of them all over the gulf. We had to keep pulling them off the line. Interestingly, they don't sting your hands out of the water.

Eidalac likes spiders for their bug-eating, bats for their bug-eating, snakes for their rat-eating and platipi and glaucus atlanticus for their WTF quotient.

So, I love things that eat vermin (pluses for freaking people out) and things that are unexpectedly venomous.

Cute, and they can be vicious as all hell.  Kinda like cats turned up to 11 and without the fear of water.

Corn Snakes I guess, but thats more D'awww factor, Maybe Bearded Dragons.

EDIT: Wait Birds are my favorite animals, I like them to the point I don't eat them. :P
