* saying goodnight.

Any of the above may or may not contain hugs. Try to keep post here short except when someone is returning after several days or leaving for a longer holiday, this thread is for announcements, not discussion.

I actually intend for this to be a serious and usefully thread, taking some of the spammish load from a few other threads, and structuring it into a followable, useful log-like single pace.

Armok, why do you keep making stuff like this?  What is your obsession with "Forum culture" or whatever it is you're doing here?  A bulletin board for when people are on/off line is entirely unnecessary to this or any other forum, not least because the forum can already tell you if someone is on or off line.  And why is it important to you anyway?

How do you know when I'm online?  When I'm posting.

How do you know when I'm offline?  When I'm not posting.

How do you know why I'm offline?  By looking at a clock.

Stop trying to turn everything into Twitter or a chatroom or whatever it is you're doing here.  Honestly man, I think you need a hobby or something.

Anyway, I don't know how I messed up the first line, but the second one is seven syllables.  Smashed is one syllable.

I've got the caesura, comparing the carnage of Armok's ravaged face and the beauty of teeth suspended in mid-air, and I've got a seasonal reference.

It's a great haiku AND IN NO WAY IS AN ACTUAL THREAT, SINCE WE'VE GOT SOME RETARDED CYBER-BULLYING LAWS THEY'RE TRYING TO PASS, SO IF THE FBI SEES THIS AND THINKS "Goodness, this child is being bullied, he might grow up to be in the next Korn, we must stop this" IT'S NOT BULLYING.

So is anybody else reminded of that guy from waaay back. Damned if I can remember his name but he had a thread in DF help I think which he treated as if it were a chat room. It's really bugging me that I can't think of his name or what his thread was about, although I'm fairly sure it was something stupid and he got banned.


Anyhow the point I was trying to make is that with this thread Armok has become him. Anyhow so long buddy was nice knowing you, the old you will be missed around the forums. The new you, not so much.

The whole point of a forum is that doesn't require me to be online all the time to participate in conversation and as such I shouldn't need to warn anyone that I'm going offline. Also, chances are no one would care.
