I burnt some goblins.

Small bit of collateral damage, but nothing anybody would really gripe too much about.

I'm reminded of the Engineer's taunt from TF2:

And thus did the dream of dwarven antigravity fade away, not with a massive explosion or a flood of magma, but with a whimper.

I'm going to be depressed all day now.

Ever since I saw that first human being killed by boiling zinc, I've loved magma so much.  :)

Awful lot of debris out there - I see 5 wooden barrels, a wooden cage, some wilted plants, and a bunch of bones.

Did you set your own dwarves on fire and have to abandon/reclaim, or did you set a caravan (or perhaps several caravans) on fire?

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Looks like a path of vomit; grass worn down to red sand, and puked on.

The Raven has been knocked unconcious!

Elves do it in trees. Humans do it in wooden structures. Dwarves? Dwarves do it underground. With magma.

Yes, it definitely looks like it. Could we somehow exploit this to make patterns with vomit?

Build a roof, leaving gaps for the pattern.
Send out squads of cave-adapted dwarves.

The barrels and bones are due to caravans coming and getting fucked over by goblin ambushes because I was too lazy to open the doorway since I'm not trading anything with them anyway. Those cages? Every single one has a goblin in it (and there have been ten more since I took the screenshot), and they're going to get hammered to death by my main military dwarf (nicknamed Katie. I don't entirely know why.)

Wooden barrels apparently aren't burnt away by fire. Guess they need magma.

And I'm planning to cover every square inch of the ashes with magma using my giant magma storage pit off to the right there. It's 4 z levels high. Takes forever to fill. Totally worth it.

The vomit-road was due to my traffic-zones I am too lazy to set to normal. And now I won't, because having a vomit-road is just awesome if a little disgusting. >_>
