Question about color.
« on: November 19, 2009, 01:57:55 pm »

Say, for instance, I had this color definition for a stone:

[COLOR:4:7:0]

What would I change to make the stone (and constructions/etc. made from it) black?

Because I'm planning a tribute to 8-Bit Theater's Black Mage, in honor of his extremely dwarfy solutions to all problems.

0:0:0 for total blackness, but that'd just make it a black tile.
Alternatively, 0:0:1, which is somewhat lighter.
Also see the wiki page on color.

If those numbers are RGB channels, then the "Black" normally used on TV is 10:10:10 ... a dark charcoal grey.

... that's because a TV interprets 0:0:0 as a synch-byte, and absolute Black tends to make it lose synch.

Er, those numbers aren't RGB channels, but [COLOR] token values, which are Foreground (0-7), Background (0-7), and Foreground Intensity (0-1).
