Because he feels attention starved and wants to be recognized as The Boss, like Aqizzar, Toonyman and Sofia, instead of as the weird hugs guy. Sadly, this won't come to pass, as his apathy towards it will lead to peer frustration, as is already evident. Salvage your image, destroy this thread.

D: I thought I was recognized as the boss for a while... sadly I lack any good let's plays and don't have my own meme revolving around me.

Myeh, obscurity is fine, Dwarf Fortress as a ton of it and it didn't make it less awesome.  :P

I don't think he's apathetic.  It seems to be one of his primary goals.
