LCS Mafia is in lylo, and will end in four days time.  Hmm, funny how even the strangest setups usually end up coming down to a lylo situation.

I meant it should start in game time as two days before Christmas, not in real life time. That would make Day 2 Christmas Eve, Night 2 Santa's Delivery, and Day 3 Christmas Day. I suppose Day 4 would be Boxing Day, but who cares about Boxing Day?

It looks like we're about to start 5 games or so simultaneously, which I think is ill-advised for the nonce.  Sudden influx of product into an economy leads to devaluation of that particular good, remember?

Since Dakarian's and Neruz' games have actually opened for signups, we should probably let those go ahead, but I'm going to suggest starting Horrible and Vote a week after those begin at the earliest.  This is particularly because we're probably also about to get a Wizard Duel IV and Paranormal 13 going before too long (unless Meph has any objections), so that in a very short time frame we would have ended up with 7 games starting up.  Last time, this crunched startup resulted in a lot of extremely crappy early games, with later games being confused and dying thanks to the poor start.


I also feel that traffic here in general has slowed down due to the holiday season, and is just going to get slower for the next little bit.  I may be completely wrong about that one--correlation does not equal causation, after all--but I figured it was yet another good thing to think about.

Well, the system CAN handle Horrible and Vote eventually.. we just need to stagger them.  Note that Duel will be going for at least another 2 more game days (even after one side wins they keep going until one person is left) and paranormal is only in Mid game. 

So I'm thinking next week run Horrible and Vote, then we wait for some of these games to end.

Also note that TYPE of game matters.  N-M won't bring the same types of people as Horrible Role, after all.

Yeah, as long as the Mods stagger the start-ups reasonably well we should be fine.

And, as dakarian said, Paranormal 12 is going to be going on for a while longer and Wizard Duel 3 has a few more days to go no matter what. So I don't expect either to finish for another week or two.

Wizard Duel may also take a short break from being a mafia game and wander up to the normal Forum Games section anyway, since I'm thinking of running a pure Duel from that rules set (with no Cabal or side-actions).
