Feedback from new players on playing ICs has been limited. I'm not sure how they feel about it, but I think it's a good idea. Teaching them how to play is worth more than them getting stressed out about experienced players breathing down their neck, since that's going to happen eventually anyway.

If you decide to have playing ICs you can sign me up as one.

I personally preferred the feel of playing ICs more than nonplaying ones. Having them actually in there and swimming around gave them a much better chance to be an example and give frequent, specific advice, I think.

On that note, what's everyone's recommendations for ICs in VBM? Right now I'm leaning towards an IC who's expected to act like he's playing, but has no vote and can't be killed. As I've said, I prefer the playing ICs feel, but I think the game's probably too small to swap one out. Maybe not.

Sorry, this is not a good day for Vector.  I'm tangling with adware and about a billion spyware scanners.

When all else fails, get your stuff off there and reformat. You should ideally do that every now and then anyway, but irritating parasites are an extra good excuse.

Also, the mental image of nuking the site from orbit might be cathartic, depending on this and that.

Regarding BM playing ICs:  I felt conflicted a bit since I rolled scum.   I wasn't as good as providing advice as I should have been (particularly day 3- I did badly for a while there), but on the other hand I felt like my hands were tied as a nonplaying IC because calling out specific people on specific mistakes felt like intervening too much.
