If I could be sure that BYOR has nothing but typical roles that work normally then I could label it similar to Paranormal.  BYOR, though, can be anywhere from purely normal, role heavy, or flat out quirky when you get into roles that mix with one another or where everything runs as a theme.  I took the Liberal route and deemed it Quirky, though I'll admit I probably should've gone more conservative and mark it Role Heavy.

I mean, Toon has a MUCH better chance of going crazy (i.e. slipping a miniDelphy AND a touch of Bastardry to boot).

Note that ISE is also on the fence, since most of the roles are traditional, but the setup overall, has enough quirks to push it closer to the Quirky rating.

SMALL bit of analysis:

Perhaps focusing on types of games will help balance things out.  Role Heavy gets the most flex since that's always the staple for Bay 12.  Having 1 BYOR and 1 Bastard works well I think.  We should have more Traditional setups though.  As Such, my next game will be Near Mountainous (yes, that means put it on the que).  When I get the green light I'll put that ONE game up.  Next game to go up will be Boot Camp.  Last will be Sudden Death.

The way I understand it, bastardry has to do with the mod actually saying lies and half-truths. I promise none of that in TM6.

I don't know.  Duke wants me to stop playing mafia.
That's the sign of an abusive boyfriend, Toony... you don't have to listen to him.

Yeah, my mafia games don't have lying.  I think it kills the town anyway.

Sane Cop - You're a sane cop, for real.  Can't have this type of mafia without a honest cop to stop scum like a vig.  You also have to end each sentence with "desu".
EVERYTHING IN THIS ROLE PM WAS A LIE

Bastard Mod is technically anything that runs counter to what the players expect.

Bellsounder, for example, WAS a bastard mod.  I didn't lie and actually hid very little, but you don't tend to expect everyone to revive over and over, and you do NOT expect a person to be able to revive THEMSELVES.  You also don't expect the mafia to win by keeping everyone alive.

The cops in the last Toon mafia was bastardly, especially with the quasi-Delphy setup inside it.  I know I heavily enjoyed it btw.

What are everyone's thoughts on me running MSPA Mafia 2, after first writing up some roles for the newly introduced characters. Everyone seemed to like the first one, and Multipick isn't going anywhere, probably because we're all tired of BYOR style games.

Sounds good.  Needs some passed around items though, methinks.

I'd be in it, the first one was enjoyable.
