Update:
1. RL made sure I wouldn't have an INCH of time to go watch GL. However, I was able to work on the ruleset.
Thus, bad news is that "who the hell do you think I am" probably won't go in since I don't know enough about the reference to do something that I would like (no, I won't make up something.. it's beneath me
)
Good news is that I'm finished writing rules for all of the phrases. About half got cut completely though
. Next I'm going to let Random.org choose some of them (the ones that don't get picked will still be in my spreadsheet so I can go back to them. Some of the rules are epic enough to create their own game!). It won't be pure Random.org: some WILL be on the list because I want them to be and others CAN'T be on the list because they'll either contradict a rule I want or ruin the balance. I should have a healthy set available though.
Now for the evil factor. Not only do I have an anime to watch when I get the chance, and not only do I have a job hunt I HAVE to do, but the most evil of temptations have come for me.
(BRAG!)I just got selected for the Starcraft 2 BETA!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!(/BRAG!)
Yah, this will be a rather tricky next couple of weeks for me.
But rest assured, I want this game to get into signups this week so that it can formally start soon after BYOR 3 begins (or a little after). Besides, after everyone sends their chosen rules and roles to me, there's a pretty big setup time while I put everything together. The more time I get to do that the better, IMO.
Oh, and last thing: I've put ratings on the rules sorted by effect on the game and insanity. The range goes from rules that can be added in then mostly ignored (i.e. a rule that changes what color you can use to vote), rules that will add a quirk to the game but keep it standard (i.e. a role that makes doctors more common, or a role that affects how you target players), rules that DRAMATICALLY change the game and may get in the way if you wanted a traditional game (i.e. there's a rule that turns the game into a hybrid of Assassin, and a few that can get in the way of the day game), and lastly rules that get to the point where I can no longer guarantee balance and fairness (there is a rule that sets the game up similar to Chaos mode in Chatmafia).
You are, of course, allowed to choose all of the rules or all of a certain type (i.e. All of the 1st set of rules, and this and that of the third set.. or 'everything but THIS rule') or none of them. There is a seperate 'Random' rule that will override all other rules.
Lastly, if you absolutely DONOT WANT a rule, you can state such.. it'll give that rule a -1 making it slightly harder for that rule to get in.
