Anyone want to set up a basic mafia game? Sounds like we have some people interested in a beginnerish game.

I can set one up if necessary. I was thinking just the set up we had for he BM’s, though not necessarily with ICs, unless we need that.

Does that seem reasonable?

Edit: unless someone else wants to do it/something different. This would be my second game modding otherwise.

Speaking of beginner-ish mafia, does anyone mind if I put Not-So-Beginner-Mafia... what are we up to now?  Six?  Seven?  Anyway, I'd like to put it in the queue.

I have a few things I would like to say.

First. It is entirely my own fault FBYOR3 and FBYOR4 kinda crashed and burned awfully. My complexity addiction got in the way of basic decency in game mechanics. I ask for your forgiveness.

Secondly, if there is demand, I'd like to try my hand at running either FBYOR5 or The King's Will(a certain custom setup I've been thinking about based around rooting out traitors who want to marry the royal princess).

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

I'd gladly be up for a game.

I can also run NSBM 6 if anyone's interested, I'm writing the OP for it now.

*sigh* vanilla tea mafia ended.

Maybe someone should start a normal game and BM hybrid. Or a begginer friendly normal game.

Okay, so here's a crazy thought... what if I ran a normal-game? I've played a bit now, and I'm kinda curious to try my hand at game-modding... a beginner's game would be a nice way to ease into it and play around with fluff-writing and whatnot.

I wouldn't want to hold up all these other games tho!  :D

Beginner's / vanilla games are the easiest ones to moderate, so that's a good starting point.

If you look at a game like my Power Hungry series, they are tons of fun, but take a -significant- amount of background work.

If you want a good setup to cut your teeth on I'd be more than happy to have you as a co-mod for NSBM 6.  In spite of what it's name might sound like Not-So-Beginner Mafia is literally just the Beginner Mafia setup but without the senior player restrictions or designated ICs.

Co-moderating? ...How does that even work?

Just like having one moderator, except you have the advantages of two brains to create a better setup and ruleset, two pairs of eyes to catch any mistakes you make, and two pairs of hands to work lighter (and two mouths to argue if you can't agree on something).
