Try sleeping like a normal person. You know, at night? For 7 to 8 hours?

Weirdos.
You know, sleeping in two main chunks used to be "normal". Sleep for 4 hours, 1 hour in between, 4 hour sleep again.

I know a number of people sleep this way on a semi-regular basis, yes, but that does not mean it's a "normal" sleep cycle pattern. I guess now we're getting into the differences between regular, normal, and standard though, and of course we're also way off topic.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

ECrown is trying to say that this USED to be the norm. Sleeping eight hours straight is a relatively new habit.

Mine is more like 4 hours -> wake up (alarm clock) -> two hours -> wake up -> 10 minutes -> wake up -> 10 minutes -> wake up -> 5 minutes -> wake up -> 10 minutes -> wake up -> 30 minutes -> wake up for real

It's a damped oscillation function, I guess... ?  The end parts are when I'm dreaming about math, which really fucks with my ability to sleep at all because my brain goes "Ooh idea idea" and wakes itself up, and then goes "why the fuck am I awake, there isn't any math out here!  Time to go back to sleep."

Feel better soon, Pandar :I

I had a sudden vision of a mashup of Vector and Pac-Man, with Vector running around gobbling up mathematical formulae.

I'm not sure what to make of the idea.

I sleep around 7 hours almost always.

I just stay awake for like 18.

Mine's along the lines of sleep 8, stay awake anywhere between 18 and 72, sleep 3, wake up, sleep 1, wake up, stay up 8-14, crash for 8, repeat.

I can't survive without 10 hours of sleep.

It sucks.

My record for the longest sleep was 19 hours, when I fell asleep at 1am and missed my 5pm class.

What are your records?

13.  I always feel completely shitty when I wake up after that much sleep, though.  I function best between 6 and 8.

Ok, folks, go start a Sleep habits thread or something. Obviously it's an interesting topic, but this isn't the place for it.

Agreed.

I want to see Heliman's FROTV game get running sometime. It was damn interesting, and it's a shame it "died".

They're rare, although we have done some in the past. I don't think any are currently planned, however.

I was thinking of an idea for a mafia game and I was wondering if it had been done before.

The idea is that it is a vanilla game except all the town has a tell. Like one person has to use the word misguided at least twice a turn. Another person every 2nd post has to comment on if he was scum how he would do things differently.

I think it would be fun because all the town would be searching for the tells of the other town, while the mafia attempts to blend in and make a tell of their own which the town would then try to trick them into saying it.

Does it sound fun to you guys?

There's no point, the mafia just make up a fake tell and otherwise the game acts exactly the same. Trying to figure out if a tell is fake or real is pure mod WIFOM, so the town's strategy is to actually ignore the tells.
