Hmm, I have been thinking about a new gametype. Masquerade mafia.
The basic idea is then when the game is started, instead of players replying to the thread with an in, they pm the mod to be in. The mod will update the front page with a player count, but not player names. When the game has enough people, the mod hands out not only player roles, but user names and passwords to accounts, and then those accounts are used to play instead of their normal accounts. Players then try to conceal their real account user names.

The charm comes into trying to figure out not only who is scum, but who is behind each account.

Cue a dozen bad Org imitations.

More seriously, it is a cool idea, but it seems to be hard to successfully implement.

Sounds like fun to me!

The bigger issue is that secondary accounts like that are against forum rules. And we'd really rather not bug Toady about stuff like this.

Just make a forum elsewhere and use that under different names. They are really easy to set up.

No D:

B12 belongs to us.  No leaving.  It's home <3

But you should play mafia here, if you're bored.  It's an excellent use of time.

I tried mafia before once, I didn't get it. I'll try again if I see a new game starting :D

One spot left for you, take it.

Also, Vector, your avatar seems a lot less tasty...

Goes with my sig, man.

I'll get over the broken egg phase pretty soon, but today it was the best I could think of.

Might go with bacon.

You are I are toysmiths Heli, we seek to bring new ideas to others for the enjoyment of all.
But as others have pointed out, the limitation of it being against the rules to use a separate account is rather pressing.

Wait, No, I got it! get this, it's pretty devious guys, instead of making a whole new forum, we can use Freeformschooler's forum! it's really small and no one goes there, so no one will ever notice! Plus, he's a Bay12er, so it's okay!
