You know, considering how fast this subforum gets it's greenhorns, I'd wager we'd even be able to fuel a beginner's mafia running parallel to the current one, our one limiting factor may just be because we only have one game going at a time.

BMs also tend to have a high replace rate, though. I'm not certain that you're wrong, but there's a pretty big difference between "Hey this game filled up fast" and "Hey we've got enough people for a second one, with enough left over to replace anyone who drops out."

Considering that Heliman had to replace into a game he was already in, I think it's fair to say we don't have enough newbies for 2 normal BM's at once. I think we can handle BM and BM Vengeful, it'd just be nice if we had something less... intense than vengeful, but still 5 man.

What about a LYLO BM? Like Vengeful but even smaller- one scum, two townies, maybe even a time limit. It'd be nigh-useless as an actual gametype, but it might make for a decent "This is how you play mafia" crash-course for those people who don't really get it, and especially those people who don't get it and are hoping for others to do something for them.

Or it could confuse and frustrate them without teaching anything, I'm not sure.

Beginner's Mafias are already stressful enough that we probably shouldn't throw them into the most intense do or die situation from the start.

I agree.  It's hard enough to find scum on D1 when you have two mulligans.  Doing it no associative tells nor voting records to work with would just suck.
