Any forum-goers to MFF tomorrow?
« on: November 18, 2009, 11:01:35 am »

It's a long-shot. Especially since anyone who is, is probably busy packing. Plus there are probably few here who would admit it lawl

Badge name is Loaf  ;D

I googled it and ended up at the Molecular Frontiers Foundation, pretty sure he didn't mean that though.

Nope.  Going to A2F this weekend though... don't know if my Kamina cosplay will be ready or not though.

Based on his avatar I'm guessing he means this.

Furries are like the most boring garden-variety perverts imaginable.  It's like having a foot fetish convention or something.  What's the point of pretending to be another species if you're just going to anthropomorphize it anyway?  And I don't mean cliched shit like dragons, I'd be something interesting like a spider or an octopus or an ocean sunfish.  Way to write off like 99 hundredths of the animal kingdom you lamers.  Maybe I could be a shark, you know there's got to be people with a being-bitten-in-half fetish who watched Jaws way too much when they were kids or something.

Speaking of which, doesn't this count as a fetish thread?

Technically it's a fandom.  They have Star Wars conventions and Star Wars threads, but there's a disturbingly large number of strange and terrifying people who want to read about Luke and Obi Wan exploring their more sensitive sides.

Replace "Star Wars" with "furry" and "Luke and Obi Wan" with Redwall characters, and there you go.

Come now folks, must we really be un-chill about this? Despite personal feelings on a subject one must remember that Eagleon broke no rules nor did he troll. He did nothing to offend other that express an interest of his. While I did not make much a search into the interest, I'm assuming it is done in a non-sexualized manor and thus Toady won't get any flak from it.

If you don't like this then don't post and let the thread die.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

No :P Basically what cthulhu said, only lol furries.

Whatever grief you might have (or think you might have) with furries, MFF raised 15k for a worthy charity last year, through willing donations in an auction. Plus it's just fun. It's kinda eerily hilarious seeing hundreds of animal-suited costumers (including sharks, spiders, anteaters, and one Sarah Palin) in one place, and I actually had a pretty damn good time messing around with friends there - I didn't pay for my admission last year, but this year I am.

And yeah, I hope I can keep this thread unlocked so that if there actually are any we can maybe hang out in the game room at some point and make some converts. But if there's more blahblahraeg it's cool too, haha.
