Man, when hauling gets more streamlined, just a few guys with carts can do all the dumping and carrying, and we'll have nothing for them to do.  I hope the ability to deploy caravans and raiding parties comes along before we run into that problem.

OH please carts... 1 guy can solve a whole season of problems!
On the other hand, what will noobs do with all their idle dwarves? Have even more idlers?

What would be even better would be the ability to arbitrarily, permanently disregard items. In other words: for it to be possible to destroy items that you would normally need to dump (in order to reduce lag). I am sick as I can be of ordering 500 items to be atomsmashed just to reduce lag. I swear, it wouldn't change the difficulty at all; it would just reduce the lag so my forts don't try to slow to 10fps.

Edit: A slight bout of dyslexia caused me to place "difficulty" where it now says "lag", contradicting myself. Fixed.
