By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

He didn't announce it and the title says "game set-up phase", so I would assume not. ::)

I just thought I better ask this but as people will be no lynching a lot I want to confirm that a lynch requires majority of town to vote and not just the highest vote count at the end of the day.

Would suck if everyone no lynched and the sk voted to lynch and won himself the game :P

I believe no lynch is a vote in itself, and not just an abstain.

The game has begun. Unfortunately, due to obscure laws and the wonders of beauracracy, an execution may only occur by sunset with a single shot pistol, officially designated. Conveniently, you have exactly one.

A no lynch counts as a vote in itself, so a lynch requires plurality, not majority.
The day shall end on Tuesday, as soon as I am able, barring extensions/shortening requests.
Night phase will be a non-negotiable period of 24 hours + whatever time it takes for me to get to a computer. Any actions not in by then will be skipped.
Voting begins now.

No lynch.

We should still be discussing today though. Shades, do you fear someone being somehow able to end the day prematurely with a lynch?

No, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't possible for the SK to leap in at the end of day one to win the game.

I'm not really sure how to go about playing this game. Normally I'd vote for someone to put them on the defensive, as people on the defensive will slip up if they have something to hide. Obviously that isn't going to work in this game as we can't risk a miss lynch.

The SK won't be working with anyone so there is no way to build up communication patterns, and likewise lack of votes is going to mean you can't see a voting pattern either. We know we have a cop and a doctor, and I'd recommend they both stay quiet about their roles for as long as possible, but I'm sure they will. The cop appears to be our only source of information.

There is also a vigilante and a role blocker, not so sure what the best moves for them will be. The role blocker will have a 33% chance of hitting a townie with a role and only an 11% chance of hitting the SK. The vigilante could work on killing off everyone on the basis town will win but that is a risk as if he dies after killing half of the town the SK is in a good position, odds should be 50-50 on who will hit who first though.

I'm assuming there is only one of each role here and so most of us are vanilla town. I'd recommend no mass claims because I can't see a way this helps town (until the cop finds the SK of course), in fact any claim probably isn't going to be good for town.

Cop is too easy to fakeclaim, though, with dangerous consequences if we believe a fake cop claim.

Also, I think we need to treat the FoS as more or less taking the place of votes.

Shades, do you think who's NKed will be useful information? And do you think we should wait until Lylo to lynch? After all, what if we have a Jester?

We can't as there is no reasons for anyone to take notice, a vote leads to a lynch and we only have one of those.

I have no idea, I'm guessing the talkative people will go first and I'm hoping we get roleflips. I'm guessing the SK will lurk but that is not certain. We also have no way of the equivalent of lynching lurkers

Cop is too easy to fakeclaim, though, with dangerous consequences if we believe a fake cop claim.
And do you think we should wait until Lylo to lynch? After all, what if we have a Jester?

Wait as long as we can, or until the cop claims. If someone fake claims they are almost certainly the SK and the cop should counter claim. If two people claim to be the cop we let the vigilante use his kill on one and if he hits the cop we can lynch the other one.

As to the jester I assume he'll show as town to the cop so we just ignore anyone claiming to be the SK. There is no compelling reason to lynch before we get close to Lylo though.

If we don't get role flips life is much harder as we might lose the cop and then have the SK claim.
