For the record: about Special Guests:

People WERE allowed to just post to spectate.  If they started interacting with the game though, especially with italics, they were drawn in as Special Guests.

special guests had no win condition and could not vote.  They were naturally untargetable and not killable.  They had three powers.

1. They could affect other players with Italics.  Unlike the others, they didn't have to suffer to RtD issues: they were treated as if they rolled a 4 each time

2. They could perform an action each day and night, using a role from a past bay 12 game.  However, kills and actions that caused a person to change their win condition would always fail.

3. They could 'IN' which would cause them to enter the game as a player, giving up their Guest status.  Their alignment would vary from the others, with the possiblities including: Jester, Webadict-ally (as in they win with the Webadict but do not know who it is), Survivor, or even Mafia.

while having 'outsiders' messing with the Italics was fun, the action abilities proved to be very out of whack, thanks to lovely skills like the Child.

About the return of the BM Elephant.

That was PURELY unexpected.  I never planned on an actual story based theme, nevermind reviving that place until THIS showed up:

Quote from: Org
...And then he siad let their be town, and there was town. He then said let there be scum, and there was scum. He then said let there be lurkers, and Org appeared. And the townie and scum cried in woe and fled the coming of Org...

I forget the roll result but I know it was a success, so I went "ok, how DO you respond to someone parodying Genesis"  The answer was "create a world"

So boom, BM elephant.

(meh, as if I need many excuses to bring the young maid back :P  )

I also figured out a number of odd things, like having PM-anytime ability (dak wanted us to cc him naturally).
Anyway, Special Guest chat

Um. It had no effect on the game whate'er, it looked like. Special guest claiming to be child? Nobody believes.

That night thing we did, though, THAT was... Methilestesas (allmagnet) + doctor...= nothing happened.

*sigh*

Vaguely makes me want to post the Web-chat, just so you two can see how panicked I was over the Child/constructing elaborate plans to foil it.  That one had me stewing for days.

It'd probably screw with Dakarian's plans for future games, though, so I won't unless he thinks it's a good idea.

Oh, and thanks for using my flavor, Dakarian.  I'm glad you liked it.

You weren't the only one we were trying to mess with, Vector. We were trying to screw with the whole town.

I don't think we really met our potential in that regard. We could've endlessly stalled the game if we wanted to. Mayor pardons by day and Methilestesas + doctors by night.

Funny thing about Meth+doctor trick: nothing would've happened that night anyway.

Only one kill attempt was made. It was against org, and Pandarsenic had opted to protect org.

The result was pretty much uneventfull al-ltogether.

I was expecting you guys to do Meth+Nexus to result in endless randomness.

but truth-analysis is my favorite! Lol, I also protected "org".
how panicked I was over the Child/constructing elaborate plans to foil it.
It is usually very very obvious when you try to avoid directly lying. It amounts to a cop, plus a huge amount of pressure if you let it- you'd not directly say "I am not the webadict" it sounds like, which would generate more suspicion than anything else.  If you just go along, then the Child amounts to an (x)cop (i.e. day or night).

So, the real power of the Child is the THREAT of a truthcheck. Looking back at BYOR mafia (where I posited a truth-checker when there was in fact none) this threat scared up one mafia (Apostolic Nihilist did an odd claim...one of three: Org and Eduren went along calmly) and both 3rd-parties("Leafsnail is not part of any anti-town scumteam", Toony)

I think Vector was made safe by the fact that nobody listened to me this game. (And that I only used the power once, on d2, though I was faking it multiple times using deduction)

I decided not to be an ass by picking DoT-public inspect or the like.

Hey, Dakarian... you might want to mention the poll somewhere, so we can actually realize it's sitting around waiting for us.

Well, whatever.  Consider it mentioned.

I thought of pming webadict to tell him that "desu" technically makes it a question and therefore immune to truth checks, but realized the chance of a truthchecker was so remote that it would be ridiculous.
