"I don't want it to be over," he tells her quietly.  "I want my life to revert to what it once was.  Now, before anything else happens.  Now, before twilight falls and the world fades into darkness.  To stop at this moment and leave everything unclean behind--if only for a second--to see clearly again.

"Back to an endless boulevard, devoid of people.  A world of infinite structural delight.  A land where none of you need ever touch or... grow close to me."

He glances at the innocuous fruit he holds loosely in his hand, its flesh tender and inviting.

"I cannot stand this confusion."

[Pandarsenic]

Pandarsenic slips a fork and knife from the food he'd ordered earlier (but never touched) into a pocket of his jacket.

[dakarian]

The young woman's eyes sparkle, "It is your desire to push away what you wish for that confuses you.  Go, seek your heart before it is too late!"

A staff member grabs Pandarsenic's hand.

"We of this establishment thank you for leaving our things with us."

With a sigh, Pandarsenic hands back the fork and knife.

[Pandarsenic]

Luckily, Pan's profession results in him having several spare knives hidden on him.

The theft attempts are more kleptomania than an actual need for more weapons.

[SirBayer]

Unfortunately, Bayer has already stolen Panda's pants and disposed of them by consumption (whether disease or action, unknown).

I was told Vector left it to fate... I think, lemme check on that. Yes, that's what he said. That's all I know.

I'd have loved to have been the LIVING GOD that is the Webadict, but hey, I'm not badly off anyway.

[Pandarsenic]

Pan kicked Bayer in the face, foiling the pantstheft attempt. Bayer continued to live in his own manufactured, purely internal world, experiencing a delusion of eating pants in a corner.

[Vector]

"SirBayer," says Vector.  His manner is suddenly more stiff, eyes darting and furtive.  "A surprise that you're here.  I've been looking for you... all morning."

He pauses for a breath, leans closer, and then seems to think better of it.

"You know quite a bit, I think.  It's really quite phenomenal.  Now... won't you tell me about the Webadict?"

Unfortunately, the kick to the face was quickly transformed into a "eating Panda's foot." Om nom nom nom.

"Wull, th' wubdict is -" Gulp. "The webadict is like probably gonna be able to do something Chuck-Norrisy, like be night-kill immune, killing abilities, RB, soul-eater or something. I'unno, but whatever he is he'll have many, many powers. None of them good for us. I wouldn't've minded getting to be scum in a forum game for once, but I guess that's not to be."

There is no fourth wall. There never was.

"Also don't get close to me ever again."

[Mr.Person]

The italics is fun and all, but we need to get back to finding the scum. Everybody, why do YOU post in the italics instead of asking each other questions? Why not do both? I'm just not in the mood right now.

[SirBayer]

Bayer is the first one to descend on Mr.Person, preparing to swallow his arm.

But seriously. This is probably the most fun I've had in a Mafia game for some time. We'll scumhunt through italics.

"Say, Panda Who Has No Legs. Who do YOU think is/should be/would be dangerous as Webadict?" Bayer asks, putting a nail through a board to use on Mr.Person.

[Vector]

Vector sits and waits, as though transfixed by the division of possibility and truth, what might have been and what has occurred.  His breath remains even.  His fingers tremble.  The world is as he knew it had to be.  Unchangeable.  Intractable.  Though he thought the safety of everyday routine--the consistent march of ever-present time--would be welcome, his chest is tight with an unfamiliar ache.

Vector is Vector all the way down, and he cannot do anything about it.

"Let me know if you ever need something, SirBayer," Vector says.  It is the least, and most, that he can manage.  "I'll try to help you out.  As a friend."

No more, no less, and in those words he finds both solace and pain.



I'm posting in italics because I'm trying to take care of a little flavortext problem.  It has to be rectified, and it's taking up quite a bit of my attention.  As is SirBayer  .

And yeah, it's fun.  I haven't done any creative writing for two or three years, and I feel like if we're going to get a game where we can screw with the flavortext, I want to take full advantage.  I'll go back to scumhunting as soon as I can without completely screwing over the story--that is, pretty much immediately, now that I'm done with the above post.

Vector and I had similar problems.

Pan reveals that Bayer only ate his set of Poisonous Decoy Legs.

SirBayer looks down at the green poison covering the half eaten legs.

He shrugs and finishes eating them, uneffected by the poison
