Well, since all the proper races are already presented, I shall grab the nosy elf.

Name:Helrond Weak-Leaf (villain)
Species: elf
Age: over 9000
Gender: Male
Personality: Uptight like all of the few surviving elves, considers other races inferior and seeks to eradicate them so that only the pure aryans elves may roam the world. Thus preventing all kind of immoral and fell acts to take place. Very confident about himself and everything he does, but his inability of self-criticism often gets in the way. He will never admit to himself that he had done a mistake, instead accusing his most trusted henchman Goredoomed, a female kitten who never gives a shit. He also thinks that he is a great and powerful mage.
Backstory: While all knowledge about his earlier days is mostly forgotten due to the dwarven annual festival of burning down his home forest with magma, he has gained some renown in tormenting lumberyards by convincing local wildlife to guzzling down their beer supplies and ambushing their workers if they refuse his ridiculous demands of "Ethical" tree harvesting.
Equipment:An oaken bow, complete with shabby wooden arrows, a pine spear, A wooden breastplate that he made himself by strapping a plank on his chest, a set of rope reed clothes, a female kitten, an unicorn steed that looks awfully like a regular horse that has been painted white with low-quality paint, with stone horn that falls off in the most inconvenient of situations (It is clearly just a foul illness caused by all these filthy lower races!), also a rope reed bag where he stores all the precious unicorn shit.

@ Askot: the adventurers will be departing at 5:pm gmt (about now) tommorow to give time for any last changes or additions.

The way that will work is if a slot is empty I can try to fill someone into that slot while not wrecking the story, but when someone dies their slot is NOT freed up, this is both to stop the number of total adventurers who have been part of the trip going into epic proportions and to stop the villians being tempted to use suicide tactics

A little bonus, the lineup so far

The lineup, after seeing photobucket or something else mangle the colour i'll probably make Askot a different colour.

Also one las tthing, does anyone have any idea where the symbol for broken bolts might be hiding in Ascii-draw? Or any suggestions on what to use as a substitute.

Servu ill get right on that, please report to pm for evil planning sessions

Name: Sarpedon Thomodothdo
Species: Dwarf
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Personality: Rarly motivated but will work intill the very end if he is, hates nobility, quiet anti-social, the few friends he does make he will keep for life.
Backstory: Sarpedon Thomodothdo learnt smithing from his farther back in Soarsneaked when it was entering mega-dwarven hold stage. This of course meant the nobles start getting upity. Sarpedons father was issued a mandate for 13 wooden blowpipes. Of course he couldn't deliver and was, well, hammered. Later in life as Sarpedon took over his fathers business he was issued a mandate for 30000 clearglass soapbars he simply packed up shop and hoped on a passong caravan to the next dwarven hold. As he wandered from post to post he discovered the lack of metalworkers and turned his hand to whatever odd job was at hand (you can put whatever skills you like for that). It took him 17 years to find himself standing infront of a crazy old coot blabing about his wife to finally see something worth while to stick around for.
Equipment:
Copper War Hammer How he crafts with it, isn't know. Probably because he can.
Cloth cloths with a leather helm and bracers
A bar of Steel He one Day hopes to collect enough to forge himself a set of master grade full plate armour
Small beaten bronze hip flask Containing 95% sewer brew 5% something
Leather back pack Empty, rolled up and stuffed into his fromt pockets. He finds that having deep pockets can sometimes be very helpful.
Reason for joining expedition: A New start in the hope that he will die long before the no good, wine siping, scum bag nobles start to show up in force.

actually were gonna start anyway, 5 adventurers and 3 villians is enough to play with, and if anyone want one of the slots left open (1 adventurer and 3 villians) then they can be worked in as we go along.

Either that or they still have another two hours to claim the slot they want if they want to be in from the start.

Ok well its time to start, here’s a run down of things will work

Dice rolls will be used for general combat, things involving luck or chance and anything else I feel warrants one.

When you make an action with your character you can give as much or as little detail as you want, if you choose not to include any dialogue then unless you specify silence I may probably fill in any needed dialogue according to your personality

At the bottom of each page there will be three spoilers, the first will contain a simplified run-down of the post

The second will contain a list of each character who is present in the scene, their current situation and if they can take a player controlled action or not, and why not, for example.

Bob: ( Outside the fight, free to act)
Carl: (Wrestling with goblin, cannot break free, can fight back)
Frank: (Unconscious from blood loss, cannot take action)

The third will contain a list of all dice rolls taken, why they were taken and the results.

Technically the only ones anyone will NEED to see is the second one, and then only the players.

So without further ado, lets begin….

Chapter 0 – Prologue – Show me the way to Amarillo Ingtakmestthos

Our brave adventurers

The meeting had taken several hours, but ultimately those who left were smiling and happy, leaving the darkened tavern for their various destinations, however one figure did not leave, but rather stood in the door for a couple of minutes, before turning his head to the side, looking up at the rooftops before he too left.

Up on top of  the roofs, a patch of shadows shifted, revealing a previously invisible figure who had been watching, for a second he shivered despite the thick cloak around his neck, it had been unnerving how the old dwarf had seemed to be looking straight at him, even though there was no way…

“Hello there laddie….”

The man spun round, hand flashing to a dagger at his belt, but it was too late, and the only effect his action had was letting him see a flash of shining blue before his head parted from his shoulders, blood splattering all over the old dwarf standing over his body, then once again the dwarf tilted his head upwards, causing another concealed figure to burst from cover, this time going straight into a run, silver cloak flashing behind him.

The dwarf briefly considered chasing him, but then decided it wasn’t worth it and went for a drink.

==========

The five adventurers were nearly running through the streets as they tried to keep up with their employer, even Askot and Sarpedon, both using the same method of weaving and not needing to duck as Urist, were quickly left behind by the surprisingly agile dwarf.

Eventually they made their way over to the dock district where Urist was perched on a barrel, shuffling a few bits of paper about, looking up he noticed the adventurers and waved them over.

“This is the route I’ve planned for us,” he said, pointing at a crudely drawn map, “its one of the old dwarven trade-trails, a bit roundabout but it should be safe, the dwarves back then didn’t rely on just living defences to protect their homes and roads, and many creatures still remember that.”

This is a parchment map, it is adorned with hanging rings of shit-ness

There was a awkward silence as the group stared at the map, before Askot spoke up, “Well, I guess that map drawing isn’t your speciality then is it?”

Unfortunately this drew a violent reaction from the previously peaceful old dwarf as he leapt off the barrel, causing Askot to fall backwards in surprise, “No it isn’t, my job is to get to Ingtakmestthos and find my wife, and your job is to guard me Youngbeard, not to make jokes.” His piece said Urist relaxed again, hopping back up onto the barrel, “Now then, anyone else got any questions?”

“Yes actually” Looking sideways the group saw Onoxlug, who had picked up the map from where it had fallen and was peering at it intently, “This path seems to either be incomplete, or has us following the river extremely closely, is this actually a carp feeding expedition or do you have some other plan?”

Urist let out a bellow of laughter, “Of course I have another plan, we are going down the river but not how ya think, that’s what the Belle-Mar here is for,” he said, gesturing to the large ship behind him.

This is an Alder boat, all craftdwarfship is of the highest standards, this object menaces with spikes of marksdwarf guards.

The boat was a beauty, after the fall dwarves had slowly expanded out in their skills, applying their legendary skills and work ethic to things over than stone, and the masterpiece of a boat before them was one of the results of this expanding. Only one thing was out of place, a unusual device on the guard tower, a tube of metal proper in-between two heavy lead-edged blocks of wood, currently a dwarf in red overalls was cleaning the inside of the barrel with a long rod, noticing the parties gaze Urist commented, “ A new idea that, straight from the forges of Sekthul, they call it a Connad or something like that, whatever it is its sure as hell effective, tested it out on some elephants on the way up here.”

With that said Urist pulled out a pipe and lit it before turning to the party, we’ll be leaving as soon as the dock-workers are done loading the provisions, there are quarters for you all down the hatch near the ammo store, personally I don’t care whether you use em or not, but we’ll be sailing all night, so I would probably recommend getting some sleep.”

Note: Here there are two things you can do, if you choose to stay up then you are up and that’s that, if you choose to go to sleep then you cannot act the next turn (you won’t still be asleep, but you can’t control your character, but you will get a +1 to dice rolls for the next 10 posts, its up to you guys.
