Here's the coloured version of the elephant pic, I'ma work on the skull now, then write the text.



I can tone down the stark, nightmarish horror of the elephant's appearance if you want.

THE ELEPHANT



Elephants are docile herd animals of the tropical plains, and are very common in the areas surrounding Boatmurdered. They have a strange, some would say silly appearance, with a long prehensile proboscis in place of a nose, large, flapping ears, and abnormally long and sharp tusks for a creature believed to be a herbivore.



They are smarter than one would assume such a large, slow creature would be, and are capable of emotions such as sorrow, anger and joy. They are also known to enjoy consuming alcohol. Tame elephants make excellent pack animals or mounts, but the hassle of luring an elephant into a trap is usually not worth it.

Okay.

I was just saying, you know, that you said to write the encyclopedias from an historian's perspective, not from a dwarf's (elves are tree-higging bastards, or whatever) and although a dwarf might see an elephant as a creature of nightmares, an historian might not.

Well, the elephants are definitely terrifying, looking at things they may do. And DF world tends to be grim, I just said that to lower the amount of cheesy jokes, don't get it too seriously.

This is the preview of the Elephant page. Thank you very much, Fault :).

It will have to wait till it's place in the comic comes, but I will 100% use it.

Lol, you gave it predator eye placement.  It looks awesome, though personally I think it would have been creepier to give it realistic eye placement.

I tried it with herbivore eye placement, and made the eyes creepy and soulless instead of demonic.

Heh, you know what? It's even MORE scary with this type of eye placement. You can't run from an elephant, you can't hide from an elephant, you can't backstab an elephant...
