1: Assuming you were town, how much of an advantage would you have to have over a cabal mage to consider volunteering for the ring?
2: If you are unsure of the alignment of either mage in a dual, which attribute do you believe would help the tower (as a whole) the most to assist with? (Assume you are not allowed to No Assist)
3: What is your opinon of random voting (as demonstrated by RNG & Halmie before I had a chance to finish this message)?
4: Assuming you (as vanilla tower), another tower mage (also vanilla), and a known cabal member (chocolate, as it were) were the only three mages left, which two would you vote into the ring? (And why?)
1: Given the fact that the side-action based incapacitation still applies, even if one partakes in a duel, I'd have to say it's more situational; If I have a battle advantage, and it's either needed to take out either a: confirmed Cabal late game, or b: take out a powerful cabal role, then I would definitely be willing, of course, in those cases I would have to find a way to force myself into the ring, so... really it depends. If I thought I could be sneaky about it, I might try and avoid claiming, but in those situations, I feel it's generally always better to go ahead and just claim if it's needed. Perhaps that's just me.
2: Healing; assuming my understanding of speed is correct ((With bonus attacks and additional defense/attack boosts for superior general boosting if sufficiently high, iirc)) then again, I doubt an Earth based speed boost would do all that much if rounding works, right?
3: Yes and no. I'm used to it tbh, many places use it as a method for trying to get a reaction from someone, but against anyone who's played the game or watched enough to recognize it, they'll be aware what it is, and rarely, if ever react to it.
4: Other tower mage. I appreciate all the "bravado" and all that about being a generally good guy, but the probabilities are the same in either flip, except I have two chances to live in the case I throw them in, and remember; the goal is to win the entire tournament; regardless of the team goal. That said, keep in mind that's assuming a case that's rather bad for the Tower to start with, but still- I wouldn't bother sugar-coating that sort of fact.
