 While welcomes are welcome, I cannot help but question the point of intruductory threads. I can understand lurking for a year and finally joining the forums, making some statement about that in a reply to a topic that finally drew you into the forums, but we have done fine without it before for 99% of our members. I dunno. I just feel little point in this thread if all it is for is saying "Hey, I'm here now. I like long wals on the beach and DF." Then for a page or two there are people saying hello and hi and such and then we take the twist of our own where we derail the thread to ourselves.

 Nothing on the OP, I can understand that people do make these things innocently. However, one of the issued of this is how we react to threads like this. Unless we have a real discussion we just go on to short quibbles about ourselves and the community and how not to feed the Workerdrone if you value yout digits.

Pretty much the reason why my photobucket album is (or should be, PB might be so crap that it lets people in anywa) password protected.  Most of my photos are for cheap one shot jokes.
