For one:  Cults are almost always horribly broken.

For two: How in the world did I manage to attract that much wrath on night 1?

For three: I actually stole this power night 0:

You are a DJ. During the night, you can head to a dance club, therefore leaving anyone who targets you wondering where you were. To keep things real, you can't go to the club two nights in a row.

And then didn't actually use it because I wasn't sure when the night would end and missed it.

Although for that matter, if I was able to steal the power, I'm not sure it would have protected me from the oddity that was night 1 anyways...

Cults are only really broken if they hang around after the Cult Leader dies. Otherwise they're just super powerful.

In this instance for Example, Prinny's death should have resulted in the two Cultists dying off, leaving Org and MrPerson to duke it out.


Cults recruiting Mafia is very broken (usually.)



The main reason Cults are so dangerous is you don't know they're there until you get one by accident; you know Mafia are there, so you're looking for them, but you don't know Cults are there, so most people don't look for them, and usually by the time they're revealed, it's too late.

Depends on the order of actions people are using.

In most Mafias i know, Deaths do not interrupt actions (they're usually tallied up at the end of the night, so to speak.)

Hahah, both of these things were what I was assuming based on past experience until ExKirb told me otherwise. I was going to use the action to become immune to the night kill if it had been that way- So... it still would've been sort of sucky, since I would've been getting a free night, and then a lynch given Dak's power. Honestly though, yea, if those had been in place, things would have been a lot harder for me. I think there was a point just before the last phase when I heard that the cult didn't die with me when I just sort of stopped caring...

That said, I definitely failed at a lot of things this round. Looks like I have to work on my skills still. Ehhh...

Deaths are almost always at the very end of the night, aren't they?

Deaths are always the last thing to happen and happen at the same time.  Thus cops get their last inspection, Doctors can still protect, and cults get to convert.

Simply put, cults are more dangerous than mafia, even without a SuperRecruit.

Given that, there is ONE flaw that occured that might've changed things:

Prinny tried to recruit Janus while me and Kashyyk went to kill him. Prinny saw the killers and turned away avoiding the conversion.

In truth, what should've happened is that the conversion should've gone first.  Thus Janus should've died a cultist and NOT as town.  This would've changed the game dramatically since it would peg Prinny as the leader.

That's true... although cults can be balanced if:

-The leader dying causes all of the cult to die
-The cult leader can only recruit every other night
-Cultists lose their former abilities
-The leader can't recruit mafia members

So yeah, cults can be on equal footing with the mafia.
