Bien's 3D Renders.
« on: November 05, 2009, 06:38:13 am »

Here's a full view of the ship. Looks like the Hiigaran Destroyer has a cousin, eh?
Forgive the flat surfaces on the back, still need to do some detailwork.

Updated the detail on the back of the bridge.

A shot of the lower surfaces of the ship, still mostly unfinished since my graphics card is weak (displaying from Hardware).

Looks good!

The next step, I reckon, is to add view ports.

That's cool. It reminds of a weird blend of Battleship Yamato, a Star Destroyer and the human ships from Space: Above and Beyond.

I approve!

Homeworld 2 players can guess my inspiration quite easily.

Wouldn't the bridge be in the protected center of the starship rather than out where anything can get at it? Sensors are much more reliable and useful than human vision in space.

Nitpicks aside, fantastic job.

If the bridge in in a sensible place then it would lack the coolness and charm of WWII-era battleships.

I got inspired, so I made this. A Destroyer class vessel.

I'll fiddle with the exposure controls later.

[also offtopic]Heh, yeah. It's an odd feeling.

(You might not be the youngest, though. We have a fourteen year old and a thirteen year old, apparently.)

You should probably tone down the reflectivity on the material you are applying to the model.
