Fear not, tall-yet-lowly one. No need to deprive your tribe of the services of its venerated boil-lancer Raka, nor subject him to the filthy-even-by-your-appalling-standards customs of Mitclan. Olgothu (Trusted of the Councils, Deputy of the Assembly, Ambassador to the Parched Realms, and Advocate for the Unclean) thinks she can assist you in understanding this bizarre gabbling.

It is, as near as this humble servant of the Sword can be troubled to understand (for while the understanding the deranged meanderings of your water-starved minds is her blessed vocation, as a higher being she is not capable of the same lunatic contortions performed by your sun-baked brains), merely an affectionate term for other loathsome mudcrawlers like it. This was made evident when the quadruped lover made the blindingly banal observation that our august people were not to be described by that vulgar gurgling noise.

No, please, no need to thank her. Her reward is knowing that she does her duty to the Sword, not the meaningless squawked gratitude of a presumptuous heathen thrall. She would foster communication amongst your packs and tribes, and beseech the Councils for mercy and understanding on your ilk's squalid, misguided ignorance even if you all were so foolish and infantile as to refuse to recognize the selfless sacrifice made by her humble person in polluting her mind with your foul languages and customs. One day, when you have come to revere the glory of the Sword of Balance, your withered mind might come to see a glimmering of the meaning of such devotion, but for now simply take her word that she simply does what she must.

That's not how it's going to go, because she's going to have her head split open by an obsidian-studded club before then.

Crazy fishmen and their purple prose.

EDIT:  Accidental racial slur

Ymir pondered the message. 'I haven't a Holla Back? What is the meaning of this insolence! I have many Holla Backs, as did my ancestors before me! You there, scout! You are a Holla Back now!'

Edit: I also have the commander disappearing glitch, and I also just restart the game.

I'm glad to hear Lieutenant Bandar is a real hero.

I'll warn you though, you may not want him to have a very big army.  A lot of bad things are going to be happening to provinces where Lieutenant Bandar is staying.

EDIT:  My home province's temple was destroyed in an Earthquake.  Wonderful.

And yet I predict your misguided people won't take the hint and adopt a more auspicious faith...

Almost got your turn ready, Cheeetar?  I got time for one more, <<just. one... more... turn.>>

Edit: I am packing it in for the night.  Productive day of Dom3, nice.

Unfortunately, I live in Australia and when you said that I was at school. I'm trying to get atleast a turn before school and one after school, but it isn't working quite as well as that.

Togrul wearily slouched back towards his dwelling as the distant sunlight faded. His men were not happy, but they were still willing to muster and drill. Three months had passed since his prince had sworn allegiance to the conquerors from the depths, and not one day had passed without him wondering why he hadn't packed his mate and belongings and fled rather than take the oath to their monstrous false prophet and the gold from their paymaster.

How many of his neighbors had he buried these past months? How many had been abandoned to the scavengers (or worse) on the battlefields to the west? How many more would join them next week when they went forth once more to seize Ariod's lands?

Nearly home, he heard a croaking cry from behind him. Wearily, he turned to see his Atlantian "advisor" (Shogoth? Soggot? Something like that in their ugly tongue) shuffling towards him with a robed figure following a few paces behind. "Captain, Sword-Holder not happy. Veric not say it being three months to war west. Veric say it being three weeks." With frustration rising in him, Togrul began to recite his argument that if the territory to the west needed conquered so pressingly, the Atlantians should provide more aid than the pitiful handful of their own solders they had.

The squat toad-man listened impassively as Togrul made his case once more, then gestured to the figure behind him. "Sword-Holder tired of hearing excuses. Sword-Holder tired of hearing Ariod rekilling you again. Sword-Holder sent help for Ylud."

Togrul felt a chill as the blue-robe figured oozed forward. "For Ylid? I don't understand what you mean; Ylid is my lieutenant, and I am charged with - "

The Atlantian interrupted with a loud croak. "No! You charged with serving Sword-Holder. Sword-Holder find task for you with Her - task fitting for failer like you. You take Master Gibur to Captain Ylud, then we go serve Sword-Holder! Great honor for lowly halfbreed, yes?" The toad-man bared its teeth in a ghastly imitation of a smile, and made a croaking noise that might have been meant as laughter.

Togrul blanched and wondered if it was too late to run.

Don't sweat it, mate.  I had the itch is all and we scratched it rather well yesterday.  Also parasites.

Did I mention before that this map is really disorienting?  Because it is.  It's going to be really confusing when I've taken over most of the world and the borders of my kingdom are touching the opposite borders of my kingdom.

Hush, not on official channels - did you sleep through diplomacy/counterintelligence lectures?
