How you figured out about roleclaiming changing your role in the first place.

Because I was given the "power" of a little extra knowledge. Namely, I knew how we changed our roles. Of course, since claiming "Kill-immune unlynchable Dayvig Nightvig Black Goo" or whatever would only lead to conflict escalation (and people discovering the mechanism), rather than testing how well I could hide that it was an effect of the claim, I decided to find a way to break the setup.

Wrong. I was the only townie, actually, but two things:
1) The claim rule applies to me as well as you
2) I was told the mechanism by which you gained your roles and votes, and my interrogation with Webadict taught me that as long as you claim "[Power] Townie" it makes you gain the town win condition, as far as I could tell. I tried to see if it would work with Jester but that was a dead end. That's why Reviver Townie and Suicidal Townie both worked. However, for PM-related reasons, I think we have to all die in tandem
