Hmm, seems our herd was less successful than I hoped but it was only our first attempt. We'll come back to that soon enough but for now lets improve the water situation and see if we can improve on this reed piping system concept. Water gathering.

By taking leaves, and putting them together with mud, rudimentry bowls can be made. These don't last long, and are only just watertight, but they will get water from A to B.

The Zanith have developed a strange ritual amongst it's people. When two of the herd have a falling out, instead of battling with words and fists, a new type of battle has emerged. Both members take an ember from the fire, and grip it in a palm. The one who can hold it the longest - is seen as superior. The ger have found that hitting things with their bare hands really doesn't have the same effect as a harder substance. Thus, they started cutting off branches, and sharpening the ends. All but four of your warriors go off to practice with these.

The spears were a good idea, but the Ger quickly realise that they could get in more hits if they threw lighter, and more aerodynamic spears.

The Zuick now have an ingenious way to pick fruit. When the workers drop fruit below, the fruit are peeled, and thrown into a rough net made of vines. This can be used to carry fruit back to the village in greater amounts.

Ssrathi finalized the agreement with the short forest creature and he swelled with pride that the alliance had been formed the Watcher hoped that it would benefit both races for at least the foreseeable future, Ssrathi turned back into the hut with the one of the villages wise elders Rasth. Meanwhile in the distance the village’s strongest warrior a relatively large Lactarl by the name of Thorus watched disapprovingly, to him making war could be the only way of survival. Still he knew he was not the Watcher and that affairs with other creatures were not his business unless the threatened the village. Thorus blocked these thoughts and raised his stone against only hissing
"Again."
The smaller Lactarl was startled by this and jumped to his feat, Sehk the first born son of the Watcher merely nodded as he stood with his spear ready for more training. Thorus pondered for some time after the combat was over, although he could not lead the village perhaps he could think of some way to gain leadership of the tribes militia.

Oh, that's another thing. If you want something done that doesn't intefere with tech, just put it in your post. It's only in the early settling that you have pre-defined choices.

Didn't mean to complain, mearly commenting for flavour. Good to know the Zanith are enlightened does this mean research can fail? I assumed everyone was pretty equal with maybe the Ger tougher due to killing off a species and probably gaining from that.

Some strange youth has told our council that this new water-gathering bowls has given him new ideas into some new area of investigation, but then wondered off before he could tell us what it was. Maybe he'll come back and tell us next time

Our fire rituals have strengthen our resolve and helped avoid conflict, we should investigate them further and strength the herd as a whole. Culture

It's probably time we mapped out local area, send out one of the herd that was involved in our old navigation push and get him to draw a simple map up on the wall of the caves for our elders to examine. Map Making
