Note that just about all of the info we have now, including your analysis, is based on that 'mess'. 

Scum want a silent town that does little more than bandwagon and blindly follow.  They DON'T want heavy arguments and debate that they would have to participate in, since, in the end, they can't REALLY scumhunt.

Yes, it's not easy to wade through the 30+ pages of posts. However, we have real content over many of the people now.  It's why the town is able to make heavy strikes at individuals instead of sitting around lurking.

For now, since I missed the original event: Eduren, why the heck did you block webadict's lynch?  Are you trying to defend a partner?  Trying to WIFOM?  Trying to waste the town's lynch?  I can't think of any pro-town reason for you to do it at the moment.

Like was said before, I misinterpreted my role as town-only. Being the newbie moron I am, I decided to play this game as I have seen it done before.

Now, as a result of that, Zai has buddied me to no end.

I have to say, Zai is definitely looking wrong to me now after reading through all those posts; he's being inconsistant and was very defensive, far more than seemed appropriate. I don't think my vote is the hammer, although i think we're getting close, its hard to keep track.

He is also trying to defend himself by attacking the people who are defending him, rather than actually constructing a defencive argument; this tends to be a fairly strong scum tell, i'm not entirely sure why, but scum tend to go on the offencive when under threat, while town tend to just explain themselves.

So yeah.

But I felt like we proved with mild certainty that that could be interpreted as defense, since it's quite possible that's what Dakarian was doing.

Eh, don't be too hard on yourself. Just don't try and rush things in the future. Rushing things leads to more mistakes.

It was to get a confirmed townie in the form of himself. He messed up with the logic, though, since there's nothing inherently townie about his role.
