I wonder what people think when they see My avatar...
At first you won't see what it is, after that I personally just had a 'huh?' moment and went on.

People's avatars don't really affect how I view them, but I do identify people from their avatars. Once, on another forum, I changed my own avatar and ended up horribly confused, thinking "why is there someone else with my name?" before I finally realised.

I've had three avatars in the almost-six-month period I've been on the forums. First was the insane kitty with the AK. Nobody probably remembers that.

Then, I had the avatar of the stick figure who would endlessly douse himself in gasoline and burn himself to a tiny crisp.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Then I decided that animated avatars are obnoxious, and changed it to what it is currently, the dwarf with the flamethrower.

I recognize most people by their avatar. People who've had the same avatar for a while, like Jackrabbit, zchris13, jakkara, rashilul, WD and everyone are easily recognizable because their avatars have been basically the same.

I do recognize certain people by other things, though. WD's posts are unique in the fact that they contain endless amounts of rage. Sofia's avatar changes frequently, but follows a general theme, and she's usually recognizable by the perverted comments in every other post. Tack, aside from having a self-explanatory avatar, is usually followed by a bunch of people yelling at him. :D

Just out of curiosity, what does everyone think of my current avatar? I was so proud of the fifth Dorf Side comic that I had to change my avatar. Also, who doesn't like a dwarf with a flamethrower? I'm thinking about changing it to a picture of the dwarf mincing wine, or perhaps changing the entire Dorf Side #5 into a layered JPG image.

I remember these two.

Why do people insist on spelling my name incorrectly?

It's hand-drawn, and that is somewhat unique. It automatically qualifies for the broader category of self-made. And it exists and hasn't run out of bandwidth.

Ja-cac-arrh-uh

Also, some people start calling me Nervous Jervous or stuff like that. Or saying I misspelled Nervous. Is there some sort of meme I'm oblivious to?

I did wonder a bit if people forgot who I was (those who saw some of my fairly rare posts in the first place) when I changed my avatar, after getting abducted kidnapped recruited into Sofia's kitten-like deathcult plotting military group of people with related interests.

I do wish I could use the avatar Inaluct crafted for me at the same time, however. -- Actually having a custom version of my old Simmirror one is awesome.

I am rather fond of my current one though. Folks said it cheered them up, so that's always awesome. Still, dear god trapped with cultists send help it's hard to decide.
