You also see people post much more fluently and such in an avatar that they selected because they liked it and not to be trendy or such. I think it has to do with the herd mentality and the desire to fit an image.

I have no idea what effect my avatar has. Could someone please enlighten me?

One day, we shall all look back on this, and laugh. Sorry about the face, by the way, and the legs, and the eyes, and the arms. In fact, sorry 'bout the whole body.

You and Jackrabbit are in the same boat, with crazy stuffed animal style characters.

Penguins are over. You can safely turn avatars back on now.

I have no idea what effect my avatar has. Could someone please enlighten me?
Is that the Martian Manhunter? Why? No, you don't. Try again later, bro.

I like the bleak spartaness of the left side of my forum screen.  Gonna leave it there.   :D

Usually on forums I identify people solely by their avatars and not their names. It always throws me off when people change their avatars, because I think it's someone entirely new posting.

Mine used to be a tunnel. I was ignored. Recently I changed it. I am still ignored. Just watch how nobody comments on this.

I didn't recognize you without your badass MS Paint tunnel. I actually don't remember many peoples names as well as I remember their avatars. You, sir... you were HFS Tunnel Man.

I do a combination of both. The main thing is that I can quick a track of whose saying what in a thread. It doesn't matter if it gets changed because all the previous posts show up in the new avatar.

And then if I see a short movie clip or something spinning I usually think it's Toony Man.
