I suppose some people have no idea where my current avatar comes from, but more or less got it because those characters are carefree and naive, which pretty much describes me most of the time. Also, it is from one of the most enjoyable games I played.

Avatars are a great way to recognize people, especially while speed reading. I could always recognize qwerty, sofia, Rashilul, Martian and so on by the blur as I speed read (or attempt to speed read). The few avatar-less people are easy to recognize by the length of their username or their subtitle thing. In general though, posting content counts for more than your avatar does.

It got a snerk out of me, I'll admit.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I smiled when i saw Tack's new avatar, suits him perfectly, and i'm pretty sure it's at least partially a reference to my banning him for pointyness in the ban thread. Even if it's not, it's still the most appropriate avatar he's ever had and definitely better than his previous L gif.

I can't actually remember what he had before that.

William Grey. The guy with the helmet.

Ok. I'm keeping this avatar. Though it's going to make RP very, very complicated.

Heh, no one remembered my JIHAD MECHA avatar?

I want to use that again.........

Also, I know the differences of Kagus (The growling old-man), Servant Corps, and Ioric.

Also, what is Tack's new avatar?

Meh. My avatar is just a dude wearing a combat suit. Nothing Extraordinary or Wrong about it. Its just a not good not bad thing.
The point was not that anything about the image itself affected my opinion of the posts, but that the posts had shaped my thoughts towards seeing the image. At any rate, thanks to you, I can hardly help but to picture all GDI troopers as having dyslexia. :P
Meh. I really don't care what you think about GDI troopers. And I think you and Akigagak are probably the only people who will hate me for the rest of your lives.

I think Avatars, specifically faces or characters I don't know, end up influencing my impression of the poster. If I know the source of the avatar, it says something about them instead, but doesn't influence me as much.

I also tend to remember who is who by their avatar. Special cases like ToonyMan may change every week, but I almost always recognize him.

I picked this guy to impart an air of Serious Buisiness. I don't think it worked.

His nose is slightly red, seems to me like he is a habitual drinker.

ToonyMan changes his often, but crazy animation in them and a tendency towards cartoony images means I still recognize him easily on site.  That and the fact he's usually yelling "SCUM" at me in capital letters.

I'll change it if I manage to take a good picture of one myself.

Or if I dig up the piece of sewing that originally inspired the name, if only to let you laugh at its hilarious crappiness.
