I proceed with sleeping at Miral and Garok's place and...
Promptly get another mutation. Seriously, i don't think i've had this many mutation dreams in a
single game, let alone all in the beginning.
This particular mutation lets us eat human corpses without suffering any negative effects. There's no known disadvantage with this mutation.
We leave the workshop and start to move towards Vernis.
An ambush halfway demonstrates how effective the Diablo is.
Welcome to Lesimas. This is the dungeon which the main quest revolves around, and you will go back and forth from this place a number of times to finish it.
This is a public performer. This is a pretty annoying enemy, since they stand just outside of melee range and throw rocks at you. They also walk away if you move closer.
Luckily, they are annoying and nothing more, and since Rose is already within range she proceeds with laying down the smack upon the performer.
That little rumble earned us a level! ...and reveals to us that due to our oh-so-huge learning we only get two skill points per level. (I usually get 3 or 4 of them.) All the skill points go into literacy in hope that Learning will increase with it, but that doesn't happen at the moment. We really need to boost Learning.
This is a Putit.
They're not very dangerous.
One of the putits dropped a corpse. Corpses can be devoured, and has special effects depending on the creature. Putit corpses have a chance of increasing Charisma.
Hermit crabs. Not a dangerous enemy, but they have a lot of PV, which reduces damage. As you can see, it survived a hit from the Diablo.
We find the stairs to the next floor and proceed.
After clearing a room of enemies and loot we get a random event, the corpse of an adventurer. Selecting the first option gives you some equipment and various other items, as well as a small hit to karma, whilst burying it gives you extra karma. I proceed with burying it because our karma is low enough. We have now gained enough karma to offset the failed Before it's too late quest and have nice positive Karma Score of 2.
We walk through a long corridor and enter a door, only to find...
Absolutely nothing.
Food break! I proceed with devouring that putit corpse we found earlier. No extra charisma, though.
I head down to the next floor, and find...
Who the hell are you?
Letter? What's this good for, is it worth a lot of cash?
Wait, i get to loot you? Sweet!
This guy has some pretty good stuff. The Kitty Bank is a piece of furniture used to store money so you won't lose it to death/rogue bosses/pickpockets/etc.
I've never accumulated 500,000 gold in a single game, so i will most likely not use it for a long time.
Opening the chest yields us some more stuff.
Proceeding further makes us run into this guy, <Goda>, Orcish Captain. This is a special Boss creature that can spawn in every dungeon, not just this one. I'm pretty sure i've encountered him in the wilderness sometime.
One hit from Diablo paralyzes him and he's quickly dealt with.
Awesomesauce.
Another food break! I found a portable cooking tool and cooked up all the corpses i found so far (i didn't even knew we started with cooking), and proceeded with devouring the rest of Goda. Om nom nom, orcish corpse.
This is as far as we can go in the dungeon for now, as we need to progress in the Main Quest to get the key. Thus we conclude this update.
