I have a massive grudge against this guy.  Bump him off, quietly.

Or not, I'm wielding a boom-dart.

Hmm. Lack of anything from John in a while. I thought he was Squad 2's leader? Or did he die or get injured?

Injured. The last four-ish updates have been in the span of a few hours.

Well bug died. Do you still have his equipment? was he using the lawpistols or the plasma guns? Well if he was using the lawpistols can I get a second guy who uses the exact same equip as bug? Armour and guns and all.

Name: Insect
Equipment: Same as bug. NO PLASMA GUNS
History: Insect's life-long hero was bug and now he wishes to avenge him and even surpass him in X-Com. He uses the exact same equipment to show that he can do a better job with the same guys and because he wishes to be more like bug.

Likes to charge in with both guns blazing taking out all the aliens with him. He is not really a team player. If he gets injured he will keep on fighting until the end. Also has a fetish for the Sectoids of the first war from pictures from textbooks and also likes "Half-breeds". Will try to succeed with mutant lady were bug failed.

I like this guy already. I think I'm going to keep him away from zchris13's squad. Yes, Bug died with his lawpistols. I really thought the aliens were done attacking, and was planning on replacing equipment on the next game day.

Are they smaller than a rocket? Yes? Then it's a grenade launcher.  Or a boom-dart.  Either/or.

You have earned the sole right to that particular gun. Until you die, of course. Will you be attempting to duel wield boom-darts?

No update tonight. I'm tired.

Depends? Can I use all of my considerable speed when only using one?

I don't know. I think they're available in week three. Just so it's clear: In real time mode, speed only changes walking and running speed. Shooting speed is unaffected by such things as having far too many explosives.

*Grumble* Still walking around with stiches in and they make me go out and fight? What kind of outfit is this, anyway?

Ah, well, at least it was more target practice. We're all lucky they didn't blow up any of the missiles in that base, though, or we'd be toast. Maybe we should hire some more soldiers who actually have common sense.

(OOC: Did I get any kills?)

Meph: You have four missions and five kills. There were eight targets that your squad of three fought (3 hyperworms, brainsucker, 3 anthropods, and a spitter), so I'm pretty sure you got at least one kill that mission.

My avatar has 11 kills and 10 missions.
Crazy Mutant Lady has 11 missions and 13 kills. With only a lawpistol.

Poor Dougan has 9 missions and only 3 kills.
John has 7 missions and 20 kills.
Zangi's close to him with 7 missions and 17 kills.
Gordon Freeman has the best ratio with 2 missions and 17 kills.

I'll try post any other requested ones.

Damn, I've been doing alot.  Hopefully they give us(me) enough time to rest up...

I'd like to ask for double machine guns if possible, for now.

Surprised by Crazy Mutant Lady's performance...  But she has basically been in most if not all the battles hasn't she?

It's not really that surprising.  The lawpistol isn't as a bad as you might think.  It does more damage than the machinegun and I believe it has the same range.  The rate of fire isn't quite as high, but still faster than most weapons.  I recall in one game switching over entirely to lawpistols during the first couple of weeks.  It was awesome.

I'd like to join up

Name: Goron
Race: Human

Preferred Weapon: Autocannon with incendiary rounds, no exceptions
Secondary Weapon: Marsec m4000

Bravery:
  • Will retreat when wounded at all if it does not jeopardize the mission (e.g., there are plenty of other units in able condition)
  • Will retreat when below 50% health
  • Will NOT retreat if another unit is in immediate danger or would be put in immediate danger (e.g., if retreating leaves a unit alone [brainsucker vulnerable] or if another unit is under heavy fire and needs Goron's support)
Quirks:
  • Fires only in full auto, no matter what. (understands he may not be sent on as many missions due to this)
  • Will gladly go on raids of 'enemy' corporations... let the incendiary rounds fly!
  • Resists dispatching on missions if injured... (e.g., stands in the back of the line, so he only needs to board transport if really neccessary

Poor Dougan has 9 missions and only 3 kills.

Crockery. To quote The Medic: "ZIS IZ UNACCEPTABLE!"

Hmm. Dougan may have to start going all-out on the enemy soon...

I would like a character in this game.

Name:           Marvin, the Paranoid Android
Race:            Android, male
Weapons:      Dual auto-cannon with armor piercing rounds
Bravery:        We’re all going to die anyway (Doesn’t retreat unless his employers tells him to)
Quirks:          He is a depressive and bored android, but not paranoid, does what his employers tells him

Gordon Freeman would demand an update, but Gordon Freeman does not speak.

Feel his burning stare, look upon his iron-like countenance, and despair.
