I've been lurking around since the days of Armok 1, but the current incarnation is from the end of 2006.

I came in the olden days of April this year with a version of DF not much different from the current one and I will prove to be the most insane member of the board. Eventually.

Over three years.

But I seldom post.

Registered in 2007, but lurked here since Armok 1. Even now I am more of a lurker, I hardly post anything.

Strange, this makes you one of the older here. And I remember you saying you discovered about DF in 2007.

Yep, DF in 2007. But I played Armok 1 even if I failed miserably in doing anything with it. I also played WW1 Medic but didn't even knew it was by Bay12 Games until DF. One of the oldest around I believe is Spelguru, which was been around long before me. BTW, Toady uses this same avatar since the first really crappy forum  ;D

On forums since July 2007; played DF in the middle 2D days, which was before my forum account, I think.

One thing that interests me is how iconic some peoples' avatars are to me now, more than their names, attaching your displayed personalities to weird, frequently-animated little images.  It throws me for a loop completely when someone changes their avatar (*ahem* Footkerchief, you've done it several times).  But yeah, lots of avatars stick in my memory: the big purple '&' symbol, the face of the guy from full throttle, the headbanging freespace pilot (can no longer remember what his was before that), the trolls in the boat listening to a boombox, the person with the anime girl character avatar who always begins and ends posts with proper salutations, the big toothy maw of Warlord, Mayday's green alien, the big dwarf statue... the list goes on and on.

Been around for like 3 years, but registered for 2.

I read the stories all the time until I finally decided to download the game and play it.

I registered slightly less than two years ago, or a little while after the 3d version came out.  As I'm sure many others have done, I registered to a) post a bug and b) post in the Nist Akath thread.

You should instead do a poll based on time logged in.
