I've been here for about a year and a half, though I've been playing DF for longer than that (I can't quite remember how long, probably a few weeks/months.)

Just over a year and a half.  I registered pretty much as soon as I started playing DF.

I appeared here on a sunny day not to long ago. I'm still trying to get people to notice me because I have a messiah complex.

Been lurking since the early 2D days, only joined a little while ago oddly just in time to see the board change a bit first hand.

Over three years.

But I seldom post.

Strange, this makes you one of the older here. And I remember you saying you discovered about DF in 2007.

May 2008. So year and a half. Interesting that a majority are 1.5-2 years.

And IWD must have joined immediately before I started My Little Zombie Apocalypse, because I remember him, Strife26, Little, and a few others playing.

I stopped because I fell out of the DF habit and it's hard to get back in. Oh but once you're in. I wasn't on the forums also because I felt bad about just leaving for a wisdom tooth extraction and not finishing the forum game.

Still have those four teeth by the way. I'm a horrible procrastinator. Er. By that I mean I'm very good at it.

I registered around the same time as LordNagash, and indeed some of the old faces arent seen much anymore.  some of those people are the guys that setup the wiki, and wrote the early 3rd party utilities.  you can still find a bunch of them on the IRC channel.

for the truely ancient stuff, dig around in the archives of the old forum where there are posts about the 2D versions of the game.

Similar things hapen to all communities.  I remember when we were in about the 5th year of the SE4 forums over on Sharpnel, lots of the old timers and early mod writers were long gone.  but there were a few who had been playing the series for 15 odd years and there were still niche SE1 communities out there.

wierd stuff, these internets.

October 10, 2008.  I remember I actually joined up because I was home sick from school and was bored from not feeling like doing much.  So a little over a year now.
