OOC: Oh yes, I should mention I was, and still am, using the royal we.

Verily, this is an unfortunate position we find ourselves in. We must rectify it.

Let us find whoever seems to be in charge here and yell at him in an indignant fashion.

OOC: Rolls!

Tehstefan's arrival will be delayed one turn due to the earlier forgetting that supplies were next.

So, that means I must write the turn now.

I will, except it takes a good hour, I must get to sleep soon, and I doubt I will have the time tomorrow.

As an apology for the procrastination, all experience gain multipliers will be increased. x1 to x2, x2 to x3, x.5 to x1. Rounded up if fractional, otherwise a full +1.

Sorry for making you wait.

Maybe I could even toss in some "art".

~~~~~~~~~~~~TURN 10~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spoiler: actions (click to show/hide)
Kenton starts to construct an air pump from scraps. It has no specific intake, so it can only pump air from it's location, It is entirely hand operated, and not very efficient, and the output nozzle needs a hose and possibly an adaptor to connect it to anything.
{{+1x(1+1:2) mechanical creation experience. 2/4. Sorry about the distribution of skills, though you will be a very important player late-game if you develop all of them}}
Frederick retrieves the battery from the emergency light, since it is the only one he knows about. It is about one third charged.
Rino searches for a medical kit, and finds one in the supply closet, behind some other junk. It is slightly better equipped than the one Dakam found earlier.
Michael tells the computer to overlay all power lines in the local area on the map. It locks up for a good ten minutes and when it finishes, every single wire is shown on the map. Michael quickly hides all but the largest, so that the map wasn't overly cluttered. It is showing a line break in the kitchen. Likely one of the appliances damaged the cable, possibly while sliding around, or maybe in an accident that went unrepaired since the power network is usually highly redundant.
{{+2x(2+1:3) computer experience. 8/12}}
Korbin searches for another pistol-shaped object. He comes across a cold storage unit and finds a banana. That means that this must be a small kitchen, and there must be a biological growth area aboard. He leaves the banana in the storage, since he doesn't feel too hungry yet.
Ljór looks for whoever is in charge, but finds only other arrivals, with no clear leader.
Dakam finds no way to be useful, other than wandering around the already explored area.
As expected, a cargo of supplies is sent, rather than another person.
In it were:
  • (roll:4) four air tanks
  • (roll:2) two basic medical kits
  • (roll:4) four spare batteries
  • (rolls:4+1+4:9) nine metres of high-capacity electrical cabling
  • (rolls:6+3+3+4+4:20) twenty metres of standard electrical cabling
  • (rolls:2+1+3:6)six metres of wiring
  • (rolls:4+5+4+3:16) sixteen food rations
  • (rolls:3+3+1+4+3:14) fourteen litres of water
  • (roll:1) one spare change of clothes
  • (roll:5) five portable sleeping units
  • (roll:5) five flashlights
  • (rolls:2+4:6) six sheets of one metre by one metre by one centimetre metal
  • (roll:3) three sheets of glass (same dimensions)
  • (roll:4) four solar panel kits
And one large cargo container holding it all.
Suddenly, a warning beep issues from the teleporter. The screen displays the message "insufficient power stored to fully regenerate object. Delaying start until stored power is enough."
I replace the partially charged battery, grab a flashlight, stick one of the new spare batteries in my gun, and if there's time, I'll check the map briefly and wander towards the kitchen.
Until we can be certain, it is best to go carefully.
We shall see what tools we have, and see if we can not use them to improvise a weapon, preferably something with a bit of a range.
At the very least, we hope to be able to use a length of power cabling like Michael Monaghan has and turn it into a flail of some sort by attaching a weight to one end.
Slightly OOC, but I don't feel like reporting back to the main room only to return to the kitchen. Besides, maybe I saw a spark, or something:
Try to find the source of the power disruption.
If you don't want to allow that, I understand. Instead, I will search for useful items, such as chemicals.
It's such a short distance, an unmentioned trip, verbal communication with another player, or telekenetic-forum-member-to-character-link can explain it all.
I'll just leave the reason out of it, and let the reader decide on one.
Also remember, that until this coming turn, the turns have always made one teleportation, and each teleportation takes 15 minutes and 1 megawatt... (Just in case you are wondering about power consumption. 1 mW/20 kW=50x15 minutes=12.5 hours power gain from limited solar power for each teleportation, but withe other power drains, I would put it at about 24 hours or some other arbitrary figure of at least a day.
This is why you are encouraged to get a better power inflow. And I can't work with figures that don't exist, so the 20kW from the solar panels is a statistic, not a resource, since the drain is unknown until someone checks it, as well as the remaining stored power, though it is certainly less than the 900 million joules that the teleporter needs, total. (Watt: wasn't it joules per second?)
So in layman's terms: Get more power!
