~~~~~~~~~~~~TURN 05~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Continue working with the terminal, see if it can do anything useful.
Also, my name is now Kenton. (Dragnar sounds really weird outside of a fantasy setting)
1
I, Michael Monaghan, help Kenton in his attempts to obtain information from the terminal.
5
Thanks for the unseen wall descriptions. You didn't update my inventory after I found batteries though.
>Shoot grue
I put the battery into my gun and enter the corridor, heading left. I look for a light switch to flip, while holding my gun in such a way that I can shoot anything that looks hostile.
3
Ponder my name some more while following Fredrick
Kenton, interested in the teleporter terminal starts poking around. And the first thing he stumbles on is the "log out" button. It is now stuck at the log in screen, demanding a username and password.
Fortunately, Michael Monaghan was there, watching over his shoulder, and noticed the username was "maintainence". (5) within a few minutes, he has discovered that the password was "teleporter", and the console is active again.
{{Lost computer skills gained: computer skill experience gain is doubled. +2(x2) basic computer use experience. Basic computer use 4/4: rank up!. Now rank 1: +(1/6) to all basic computer actions. Computer skill category +1: now 1/4. basic computer skill: now 0/8}}
Frederick heads out into the hall, swapping the battery to his gun. He doesn't encounter anything hostile, but the only light switch he finds is disabled.
The other human, who has not recalled their name yet, follows Frederick, and upon encountering the switch, smashes it! (4) the lights turn on, but the switch takes damage. (3) It doesn't work anymore, but it should be fixable.
Universe lore:
Light switches are not purely mechanical, they can be controled remotely by computer, or disabled, etc.
OOC lore:
Skill categories will have either a - or a =, depending if they are talented in that area or not.
Characters generally are talented at the first category they successfully advance, though I will decide otherwise if I feel like it, in this case, if I feel that it will create too narrow of a skill dispersal. You will probably need everything available, so why not have specialists, at least initially?
Each skill type has it's own experience, increased when one of the subset skills increases. I am unsure what each level of it will do. Probably something useful to that skill tree.
