Well, a few in game years ago(*or last tuesday) I caught a male dragon. Since i already had a female, I modded them so that they could breed. well, a few in game years passed, and no Dragonets(baby dragons) so i kinda gave up and did other stuff in that fort(its above ground except for the quarries.)

now, i saw my DM with a plump helmet and followed him to his dining room for the heck of it. and lo and behold, there are some Dragonets in there!!(3, to be precise) I modded them to be like puppies, so they'll grow up in a year.

just realized another thing

a stack of dragon bone bolts is worth 15k

I import tons of diamonds and other valuable gems, then put them on things to export them for huge profits.

If i were to encrust a stack of 20 Masterpiece dragon bone bolts with 5 different kinds of diamonds....

What tags do you have to add to allow creatures to breed?

They should breed normally, so long as they're not megabeasts.

...This reminds me of something...

I think it involves another scaley creature. I can't quite put my finger on it... But their bones were rather valuable as well.

Many creatures (such as the sasquatch) that are not mega beasts will not breed in the vanilla DF.

I just copied the Dog's "child" entry into the dragon in the "creature_standard" Folder, and then restarted the game. now my two named dragons are popping out babies. a second female came alon g, but she killed a hunter and had to be put down before i could catch her "sniff"

Show/tell me how and I'll be glad too.

I did modify the raws a little so that the dragons could breed. does that carry through the save, or would the person downloading it need to alter thiers as well?
