This reminds me, I caught a breeding pair of GCS and they have had numerous children (18) so far. Once most of the kids reach adulthood, I'm making them all war GCS and they're gonna be the fortress guard.

If i were to encrust a stack of 20 Masterpiece dragon bone bolts with 5 different kinds of diamonds....

Dragons are [SIZE:20] and thus leave a stack of 20 bones when butchered - when making bone bolts, you get 5 bolts per bone in the stack, so that would be a stack of one hundred Masterwork dragon bone bolts decorated to that level. Don't forget star ruby and/or star sapphire, assuming you can import them too.

Just make sure you don't have any archery targets for any off-duty Marksdwarves, or you'll be very sad indeed when they get wasted for practice.

I tossed my invaders into the "ready rooms" up one level and to each side, and when I had enough, would pull the lever releasing them into the main area with the dragons.  So much fun.

I cant help but notice the large number of peasant corpses. Are you're dragons going to fight the Clowns anytime soon?

Twas awhile ago (my second fort).  I didn't know what the clowns were.  When I lost my miners (because I *did* know what adamantine was) and the clowns appeared (the lascivious kind), I sent in my military. 

I ended up trying out the dragons against goblins, though, by chaining them up outside.  Their flame breath was neat, but bowgoblins killed them without breaking a sweat.  Kind of a letdown.  Wish I knew about [trAINABLE] then, would've made war dragons.

Put the dragons behind  u-bend or checkerboard defense, uncover entrance so grass grows, and watch the gobbos BURN!!!!
