[ANY_x] biome tokens also include alignment?
« on: October 27, 2009, 06:20:12 pm »

Some custom creature spawning patterns have led me to suspect that creature biome tokens such as [BIOME:ANY_SHRUBLAND], [BIOME:MOUNTAIN], and others that are very inclusive also imply any evilness/savagery.

For example, a creature without a [GOOD] tag will still show up on a [GOOD] temperate grassland if it has the [BIOME:ANY_GRASSLAND] tag, but not if it just has [BIOME:GRASSLAND_TEMPERATE] tag.

Am I correct in this conclusion, or do I need to keep testing to find out what's causing the strange spawning patterns of my custom creatures?

As far as I know, good/evil and savage/benign aren't part of biome, so I doubt your conclusion is correct.

EDIT: PROOF: Horses only have biome tags for temperate grasslands and savannas, but they just showed up in a good biome.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Yeah, I think the GOOD/EVIL tags restrict creature habitats rather than expand them.
