What, you only just realised that standing next to a melting fission reactor is unfuckingbelievably stupid?

You'd be better off looking up the statistics for the area around Chernobyl, where the radiation is heavy but survivable, the immediate area around the reactor itself can be accurately summed up as "You die."

You'd be better off looking up the statistics for the area around Chernobyl, where the radiation is heavy but survivable, the immediate area around the reactor itself can be accurately summed up as "You die."

Nevermind that, I want it to seem dramatic. Also, I actually want figures about the radiation shortly after the meltdown.

And when the damn thing is blowing up, standard soviet policy dictates that you may not be told until it's well to late.

A good time to be warned about that would have been the previous evening. While you were at home, so you could stay there.
