He was originally Muffles, back in the day the old forum software supported a display name separate from your username. One April Fools someone realized this could be used to impersonate Toady One, hilarity and an entire slew of copycats resulted. Not everyone renamed themselves to Toady and Muffles became Cthulhu. Whilst he realized that no-one was seriously trying impersonate him for any kind of horrible reason Toady recognized the potential for abuse and changed all the Toadys back to their original name before removing the change your display name option. Muffles was stuck as Cthulhu ever after and became fully Cthulhuised when the forum change occurred due to the new software only being able to handle one name Toady went with peoples display names rather than their account names so Cthulhu is now both the account name and display name for that account.

Did I miss anything? I have quite a fuzzy memory of anything that happened over a year ago. I do however remember doing a terrible Fenrir coming back impression that april fools since he was going through his *appears* *disappears* stage.

"Knead and punch the baby until a consistency of skittles is achieved" used to be Cthuffle's signature, back in the days of the old-old VN.  Back when it looked like a radioactive mold infection.

I forget what it was he had before that though.  The baby thing just seemed to suit him quite well.

All of y'all can keep your trends, thank you.  My avatar is perfect for me, and is unlikely to change unless I get LEGO NXT at any point, at which point I will make a NXT/brick/technic/bionicle hybrid and either take a picture of it or make an animated .gif (with help) of it doing whatever the heck I decide to make it do.

Having recently had my name changed, I can say that it still does.

I also recently changed my avatar from Elmo to what it is now. I like the new one, personally. I got bored of Elmo.
