There was a nearly headless zombie Charizard in my legends list. (Modded, of course.)

I had a zombie giant eagle in one of my first forts. I had a few scrapes with it, it would come by and harass some dogs or something, and it would eventually just fly away, minus a few chunks. The last time it flew straight down my central shaft and met my woodcutter, who broke it in half and tore it's wings off.

I say tore, because his axe got stuck in on basically the first swing.

He got the fanciest room in the place after that.

My last fortresses was going to be a bridge connecting an island to the mainland. All of my dwarfs were killed within about thirty seconds by a skeletal great white shark.

A flipping skeletal great white shark.

You all do know that we everytime we gen a world in DF, a new universe is created somewhere, and everytime we delete a save we kill a whole world?
Aye, we are Armok, god of blood, evil, villager gutting, fortress building, legend making and elf thongs.

Skeletal shark? Really? Sharks don't have any bones besides their jaw. They just have a bunch of cartilage, which is that stiff stuff in your ear and nose.

MY INNER NERD WHICH SOMEHOW KNEW THIS FACT DEMANDS A FIX.

I think thats why he was so shocked, because it was just a jaw chomping on his dwarves.

My favorite was a tiny haunted mountain that had a spawn for zombie hoary marmots. i sent my troops to train the weapon skills on them, it was safer then whack-a-mole.

my less fun was a skeletal troll that slid past my defenses when I wasn't looking and made his way unnoticed to the dining hall... basically fort ended.

I'm much more interested to know how a skeletal ANYTHING can support itself if it has no muscle or tendons.

I'd just wave it off as magic, but Toady hasn't implemented magic yet, so I'm just going to blame the elves.

You realise that means it was just a flying jaw that flew out of the sea and ate all his dwarves? This makes it substantially scarier.
