What exactly do map scrolls do? give you an entirely new dungeon like phase portals do or can they only be used to get back to where you died in the main dungeon, assuming it's within the targeted level range?

Apparantly it won't happen to Torchlight, but the guys who did Torchlight are supposidly working on a very similar style game in MMO form.

You have your facts entirely wrong.

What i meant was that Torchlight itself will not get Multiplayer added to it. The MMO version is a wholly seperate game.

Pff, 710 DPS? My guy is level 27 and he's wielding a pair of weapons with 1200 DPS each.

% damage boost on the unique + skills = way more elemental damage than pure damage ;P

Yeah i wasn't counting my elemental damage.


My character layout says i'm doing ~2000 - 2600 magic DPS. and about 4000 - 5000 physical.

I one-hit bosses.

How deep have you gotten so far? My highest character is level 60 something. main game's been a breeze so I like doing the bonus warp dungeons. Uniques drop like rain down there.

I'm one level down past the end of the Goblin area; one-hitted that big goblin boss XD

What difficulty are you playing on? I started with the hardest level, and while it is still relatively easy, it's no "breeze".

Hardest. Not hardcore though, ever since my bad luck with those characters on 56k modems back in D2.

I had some trouble starting out, but it plays naturally to me and I paid attention to builds on the forums.

EDIT: The bonus dungeon's difficulty scale according to level which is why it's great. Loot scales too.

Tried hardcore, got stuck on scenery at the first boss, died.

Also, is there any point in dual wielding except as a pile of enchantments? I shoot them in turns at the same speed as i do with only one and that bouncy shot doesn't do any more damage either.

Second hardcore attempt failed at the first crypt miniboss(shade) who was accompanied by a horde of zombies and they spawned on the other side of a gap so by the time i reached them there were 10 shades them and they all teleported around me and beat me to death while stuck. This is getting irritating.
