At 5$ I could not pass it up..it is very similar to Fate, which was worth about the same price. It is a good time wasteruntil Diablo 3. Thanks for the price head's up Kael, I was not planning on logging into Steam until I saw your post.

It work's on my Asus EEE PC 1000H... well maybe not as good as I'd like, but is playable.

...I just don't have time to play Torchlite cos' DF also works on EEE :D

how many fps do you get? I got 12-13 on town, which fell to 6-7 in the first dungeon levels. And after the third level, it gets even worse.

well I don't have FPS counter ;/ ..(what do you use?) but it really works fine. All settings to lower possible option, Notebook mode ON, 640/480 res, and Fullscreen (don't know why but it works 2x better than in window)

Boughted this on Steam during their crazy sale for like 5 bucks.

Totally worth it; this is a good game. Solid and entertaining gameplay. Only flaw is a lack of multiplayer, if it had that it would be beautiful.

Still a great game and totally worth buying though, their random dungeon generator is pretty good too.

Got it too. This is awesome. Wasted the last two days of my life on this. It's even better than roguelikes. Hard and hardcore are fun mixes :D

I bought it from steam because it was on sale for 50% off and before it's finished installing it went on sale for 75% off. Bastards.

This is a pretty awesome game, it seems they learned from their (Remarkably few for a cheap trialware game) mistakes in Fate.  The only problem is it's a little skimpy on gear.  I'm going several floors without replacing anything.  It's not the worst thing in the world, though.

I found my first set piece, it was Gorgon Gloves, which are unusable by Bolt Vanderhuge, my fighter.  Less than a minute later I found my second set piece!!

...Gorgon Gloves...  Again...

If you're doing the little portal dungeons that dude sends you into to retrieve an item for him then those are about 5 or so levels higher than the normal mine crawl, so any gear you get out of them will be substantially better than anything you get out of the mine for awhile.

There are plenty of mods too if the default gameplay doesn't suit you; i've found one entertaining one that makes only the super rare unique and set style items drop, which is hilariously OP, although eerily balanced if playing in Very Hard.

The gorgon set seems to be really common, It's the only one I have managed to finish so far. I equipped it on my vanquisher. I'm playing through as all three classes simultaneously, so they all have pretty much nothing but uniques...

I also picked it up for $5 during the holiday sale. So far I'm enjoying it quite a bit!

Torchlight is fun, but I really look forward to multiplayer if it ever happens. Being able to trade gear like in diabloII will be fun

Apparantly it won't happen to Torchlight, but the guys who did Torchlight are supposidly working on a very similar style game in MMO form.

You have your facts entirely wrong.
