Playing the demo for this, and it's really good.
Trying to make a pure Titan.

One question, does anyone know if you can get a heal in town?

This game is awesome!

One question, does anyone know if you can get a heal in town?

I've never noticed one, but potions are really common and cheap, so I just use those when I need a heal.

Also, am I the only one who compulsively buys and holds on to every single last gem I can? ("SHHHIIIIIINY")

EDIT: And I still didnt figure out were/how to fish, any tips?

There's a fishing spot in the southeastern part of town by the river, you'll see a house with a fish sign on it. There's also fishing spots in the dungeon, which is where you can catch the more exotic ones. They're identified by a round, swirly spot in the water, if you hover the pointer over it you'll get a tooltip that says "fish" or something.

The fishes mostly let you transform your pet into some other beast for a limited time, or in some cases permanently. You can also find special potions.

I was thinking about playing this, if only to stave off my boredom with Diablo while waiting for 3 and to have an awesome pet  ::)

Any other tips on how fun this game is?

Beat the demo. Holy carp, that was awesome.
I'm going to seriously consider buying this.

Does anyone know how many floors there are?

"Acquired" and gonna try this out in a bit. Looks interesting but I don't particularly like the art style... Reminds me too much of wow.

Just played through the demo of this, on my crappy-ish laptop and it played well. The demo was fun for sure and I will probably buy this, well worth the $20.

Wow, this is very well done and just plain nice. Everything I wished Diablo 2 was. Anyone with a passing interest in diablo like games should run out and get this right away. Just stay away from difficulty's other than Very hard, they kinda suck unless you are new to these kind of games.

I managed to find a Unique pistol pretty early too, that was awesome.

Hmm.  I might look into it.  I always thought Diablo 2 wasn't quite Diablo 2-ish enough, if that makes sense.

Diablo 2 was fun but it was no where near the grimdarkness that was Diablo 1 in terms of atmosphere.

Then again maybe I'm just saying it because nostalgia but I spent more time on 2 than 1.

Played a little bit yesterday and agree it's definitely worth the time.  Basically a refined Fate, which isn't a bad thing at all.  Also, assuming it works just like Fate, I second starting on very hard.  You find fancier loots and you can't "move on" to higher difficulties when your character gets stronger (once again, assuming it is the same as Fate in this aspect).  Although, I'm not exactly sure how the shared stash and retirement system works crossing difficulties.

Oh, and if you haven't looked at the main site, there is an unofficial "official" mod that adds respec potions to the game.  A must, if choices paralyze you as much as they do me.  :P
