They do from what I've seen; and I was just doing something similar last night.  Swimming down a skeletal carp infested river as a clown that had massacred a human village - by rights should have had all kinds coverings, but I only had water.

Can you drink a water covering on one of your limbs if you are swimming an an ocean? Or is that too salty?
Also, what kind of clown, the swimming ones, the fire specialists, or the ones with many arms?

The kind that has piercing bites, sucks blood, and snatches babies.  Oh, and uses balloons and pies for weapons.

Get into Legends mode and export. You will get some files, one of them named "world_params" or something. Anyway, I'm sure that you will find them.

Might be able to find a vermin fish with 'L'. I'm in the middle of genning a world right now or I'd test it myself.

Still, better to be prepared. I'm going to laugh if you almost make it only to be killed by a skeletal shark right before you reach the shore.
