Crhistopher colulmbus..without the boat, and in the nude

Anyone know a way to get a 100% nude elf from one island to a much larger island that are both cut off by around 3-20 tiles of water in the Travel map? HE keeps on starving to death after he becomes superelvenly tough.

You do know that you can use the 'T'ravel command on land areas to skip over them, right?  If you only have three world tiles of ocean to swim across, you shouldn't be starving to death unless you're out of 'T'ravel mode from the start of the character.

He's gonna die man. Theres no hope. Just hope you find a volley ball named wilson.
I have an idea, try sleep swimming, it usually applies to sleeping on ice and it thaws, but you might get into the ocean by getting hit by a wave or something.

Maybe I should explain this in detail:

This elf starts out on an island, a small island, A ISLAND INFESTED WITH ELVES, ALL OTHER SPECIES ON THIS ISLAND ARE DEAD! My goal is to get an elf from this island to the mainland filled with dwarves, humans, etc.

Prob is, elves don't start out with any food.

Try pressing shift-L in random places, as that gets you some random vermin occasionally.  You can't usually eat those, but you can when you're hungry enough, so if you gather enough of these, you'll have food to eat for the entire way. 

Another thing you can try is getting your murder on with your fellow elves (shouldn't matter too much as you're leaving the island for good anyway) and carrying their corpses.  This definitely needs confirmation from someone who's actually tried this, but I think elves can also eat corpses if they were hungry enough.

You can't eat corpses, but their blood and  vomit might be useful.

My journey begins! I have plenty of worms and beetles! Also, I have a at least a general direction of where to go, a human town is to my west, so I must SWIM west!
