This is great! But sadly, my teacher friend said no. He said he could get fired for "Misuse of educational resources"

You do not understand the ways of Toady One. He is not a business, he's just a guy trying to make a fun game. He's invited people to come along and experience the journey with him (and help him test it out as he goes along). At the end of the day, I don't think his main goal is to sell Dwarf Fortress, its just to create the best game possible.

What are you talking about? Imagine if you will...

Armokmas Morning. Father dwarf, on his off shift from being champion, with his wife sipping a fresh brew of *plump helmet wine* watching their child, Urist, open his presents. All he wants for Armokmas is a shiny new green glass mini-forge. Out the door, into the underground courtyard is a wonderfully decked out tower cap with all the ornaments and adamantine thread spread all over. What better way to top the tree off, then a freshly hewn goblin corpse?

Hahaha... Im imagining this huge burly human man, dressed in full adamantine armor, huge war hammer on his back, long beard trailing down to his waist with a hip flask of plump helmet wine, sitting in a human bar, slightly "tipsy" belting this song at the top of his lungs while the bartender/patrons stare on, until one finally gets the courage to ask him what a goblin is. Or why its in a tree. But you know. You know cause youre the dwarf-iest human ever.

Hes more like a ledgendary King Arthur that looks like solid snake, and has an awesime sword. Hell, I could have got him to raid the pits, but some ass wiped out my DF files.

And this is how tinned food was invented.
Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

Well then, make one up. I dont think that DF has a santa clause or a guy for armokmas. I think I might write up a short little story and use your human dude for it...
